How to Heal Yourself: By Raymond David Salas

How to Heal Yourself

Is it possible to use the power of the Law of Attraction to heal yourself?

From my own experience, without any doubt, I say “Yes! Absolutely!”

My Early Healing Experiences
During my childhood, I suffered from constant illnesses and severe allergies, beginning at an early age. I required weekly doctor visits, shots, and medication. As a teenager, I realized that this was not how I ultimately wanted to live, so I made the decision to look for a better way. More importantly, I made the decision to never be sick again. (Little did I know then that I was setting the powerful Law of Attraction in motion.)
“I always say that incurable means ‘curable from within.’”
- Dr. John Demartini

How to Heal Yourself
As an experienced healer now, here is what I have learned that works for me whenever I am healing myself physically (knowing fully that it also works the same way whenever I am healing myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in all other ways too):

  • Make the decision to heal yourself.
I know that it sounds simple and may even seem plainly obvious, but starting with the mind and the power of decision is the necessary first step. Once I make a decision to heal myself, the Law of Attraction literally will begin summoning the power of the Universe to bring me this experience I am requesting. It has no choice in the matter. It works the same way for everyone.
“Treating the body really is about treating the mind. It is all psychosomatic – every bit of it. No exceptions. There is nothing that cannot be reoriented to Well-Being. But it does take the determination that you are going to put your thoughts upon something that feels good.”
- Abraham-Hicks

“Only the mind is capable of error. The body can act wrongly only when it is responding to misthought. The body cannot create, and the belief that it can, a fundamental error, produces all physical symptoms.
Since only the mind can be sick, only the mind can be healed. Only the mind is in need of healing."

  • Accept 100% responsibility.
This step can be the most challenging one (especially for my ego).
How do I accept 100% responsibility?

By accepting that:
  1. My life, world, and experiences are the result of my thoughts (and subconscious memories).
  2. I am 100% responsible for creating all aspects of my life, world, and experiences. No exceptions.
  3. There is no such thing as a life, world and universe “out there.” Everything, including my body, is merely a thought and extension of my own mind “in here.”
It is important to remember that there is no blame or guilt involved in accepting full responsibility for all aspects of my life and world. Rather, the idea is that I created all of this, so now I can create something different, something that I actually do desire to experience.

  • Forgive yourself.
As I learned from Dr. Len and ho’oponopono, after you accept 100% responsibility, forgive yourself for whatever is going on inside of you that manifests as the “problem(s).” Dr. Len explains that forgiveness is powerful because it releases the energy causing all of the problems, not just initially, but permanently (i.e., once and for all time.) Wow! Who knew?

  • Act “as if” you are healed.
In the movie The Secret, we learned about Cathy Goodman, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. She said, “I truly believed in my heart, with my strong faith, that I was already healed. I saw myself as ifcancer was never in my body.”
Every day Cathy would say “Thank you for my healing,” over and over again. Later she revealed, “From the time I was diagnosed to the time I was healed was approximately three months. And that’s without any radiation or chemotherapy.”

“There is no state of physical decline or damage that you could not recover from--none--not any, if you knew it…if you wanted it and knew that you could. And that’s those miracles that they talk about every day. They’re not miracles at all. They are the natural order of things. But because they are rare, people think they are miraculous. They’re not. That’s the way it is supposed to be. You’re supposed to thrive.”
- Abraham-Hicks

  • The Healing Power of Laughter
As I shared in The Secrets of My Success:
“Laughter is the best medicine. Norman Cousins, a journalist, professor, and world peace advocate, was once diagnosed with heart disease, then later a rare form of arthritis which gave him little chance of survival. He decided to focus his energies on laughter, specifically training himself to genuinely laugh more often. He constantly watched movies that made him laugh and soon made the discovery that belly laughter had a positive, anesthetic effect on his body. He went on to become a prominent best-selling author and inspiration for many."
Cathy Goodman also heard the story about Norman Cousins and decided to use laughter in the same way to heal herself:
“One of the things I did to heal myself was to watch very funny movies. That’s all we would do was laugh, laugh, and laugh. We couldn’t afford to put any stress in my life, because we knew stress was one of the worst things you can do while you’re trying to heal yourself.”
Laughter is an incredibly powerful tool for healing, being happy, and feeling good.
“Happier thoughts lead to a happier biochemistry. A happier, healthy body.”
- Dr. John Hagelin

  • Surrender the details to Universe.
After taking all of these steps, I let go and surrender all of the details to the Universe, trusting if there is something for me to do, It will let me know via inspiration. I believe that surrender is not only a key to healing (or manifesting anything else), but also an often overlooked “missing piece.”
In my article “The Allergy Cure,” I discussed my two-year experience to overcome allergies. I tried everything that I could think to heal my body and finally, in desperation, I just let it all go. Shortly thereafter, I awoke one morning with a strong hunch to go to the bookstore (for no logical reason that I could think of). I decided to follow my inner voice’s suggestion and as a result, I discovered “Your Body’s Many Cries For Water,” which among other things, discussed how to heal allergies. I followed the doctor’s recommendations and all of my allergies went away.
Now, I have learned to trust my intuition knowing as Abraham Lincoln did when he said, “"I am satisfied that when the Almighty wants me to do or not to do a particular thing, He finds a way of letting me know it."
Well said, Abe.

The Key to Healing Yourself
So, what is the key to healing yourself?
Allowing your well-being (which is already present within) to express itself.
“There is only a Source of Well-being--which you are allowing or not.
Any disease could be healed in a matter of days, any disease, if distraction from it could occur, and a different vibration dominate--and the healing time is about how much mix-up there is in all of that.”
- Abraham-Hicks

Be well!
