The Enemy

The Enemy

"It is not the Terrorist, Muslim, Communist, Buddhist, Democrat, Republican, Atheist, or any other foreign group that we should fear, but rather our own Ego. The only real enemy is within. The Ego strategically attacks us everyday in our most vulnerable areas. When we finally overcome the Ego we will have no enemies.
Then we will truly be able to love our fellow brothers living in heavenly peace."

Love is a Flame

Love is a Flame

Love is different from emotion and feeling. Love cannot be brought into the field of thought; whereas feeling and emotion can be brought.

Change of Thought

Therefore, if we wish a change in conditions all that is necessary is to change our thought; this will in turn change our mental attitude, which will in turn change our personality, which will in turn change the persons, things and conditions, or the experiences with which we meet in life.

"THE EPISTLE TO THE PHILIPPIANS" Christian Meditation (4:8)

"THE EPISTLE TO THE PHILIPPIANS"

Christian Meditation (4:8)

INTRODUCTION

1. Our text for this lesson enjoins upon Christians that they engage in a
form of "meditation":

"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are
noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever
things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is
any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these
things." (Php 4:8)

2. The practice of "meditation" by Christians is not something you might
hear frequently discussed
a. It may be that some Christians are simply not aware that they are
commanded to "meditate"
b. It may be that some believe "meditation" belongs solely to the
Eastern religions like Hinduism or Buddhism

3. Yet Paul clearly teaches us to "meditate on these things", and
"meditation" is certainly a Biblical subject:
a. Isaac meditated in the field at eventide - Gen 24:63
b. Joshua was charged by God to mediate "day and night" - Josh 1:8
c. The "blessed man" in Psalms 1 is one who meditates - Ps 1:1-2
d. David became wiser than his teachers through meditation - Ps
119:99
e. Paul commanded Timothy to "meditate on these things" - 1Ti 4:15

4. But some questions may come to mind:
a. WHAT does meditation mean for the Christian?
b. WHY should we be concerned about making time to meditate?
c. HOW should we meditate?

[This lesson will attempt to provide answers to these questions...]

I. WHAT MEDITATION IS IN THE BIBLE

A. WHAT MEDITATION IN THE BIBLE IS NOT...
1. The kind practiced by many Eastern religions
a. Like Hinduism, Buddhism, or Transcendental Meditation
b. Where the object is to experience truth, peace, or being,
that is "inexpressible"
2. The kind practiced by "Christian mystics"
a. Such as Quakers, and others often found among Catholics and
Protestants
b. These meditate in order to "experience" God, or to receive
some revelation from God
3. Both Eastern and "Christian mystical" meditation usually
attempt to empty the mind so as to find or receive truth within
(i.e., a "subjective" form of meditation)

B. WHAT MEDITATION IN THE BIBLE IS...
1. To dwell or contemplate on some truth or reality already
revealed (i.e., an "objective" form of meditation)
2. To be more specific, the man "after God's Own heart" is one who
meditates on such things as:
a. The Lord Himself - Ps 63:6
b. His wonderful Works - Ps 77:12
c. His revealed Word - Ps 119:15,23,48,97-99,148
3. To put it in the words of the apostle Paul, we are to meditate
on "things"...
a. Things that are "true, noble, just pure, lovely, of good
report"
b. Things that are of any "virtue", and are "praiseworthy"
4. The PURPOSE of such meditation is...
a. To nourish man with his understanding of God and His Revealed
Will (not to seek for some previously unrevealed truth)
b. To give man spiritual joy and strength through such
nourishment - cf. Ps 1:1-3; Is 40:28-31

[So there is a very real difference between "Biblical meditation" and
that commonly practiced by many religions!

1) Christian meditation dwells on that already revealed in creation or
inspired revelation
2) Whereas other forms of meditation are seeking some new truth to be
revealed

Understanding the difference, why is Biblical meditation so important?]

II. WHY WE SHOULD MEDITATE

A. IT IS A SOURCE OF JOY AND STRENGTH...
1. This we have already seen from such passages like Ps 1:1-2;
Isa 40:28-31
2. This alone should motivate us to meditate more often

B. IT IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR "TRANSFORMATION"...
1. The goal of the Christian is to become more like Christ - cf.
Ro 8:29
2. This requires a "transformation" - Ro 12:1-2
3. But notice that this is possible only by "renewing the mind"
- Ro 12:2
4. This "renewing" is possible only when we "set our minds" on
proper things
a. On things above
b. Not on things on the earth - Col 3:1-2
5. Only then, when our minds are "set on things above", will we be
successful in completing the "transformation" which includes
"putting off the old man" and "putting on the new man" - cf.
Col 3:1-2 with Col 3:5-14

C. MANY CHRISTIANS FALL BECAUSE THEY MEDITATE ON THE WRONG THINGS!
1. They "mind the things of the flesh", which leads to "death" and
"enmity with God" - cf. Ro 8:5-8
2. Yet even those in the world understand that you cannot be a
spiritual person if you "dwell" on carnal things
a. "Recent studies conducted by a Stanford University research
team have revealed that 'what we watch' does have an effect
on our imaginations, our learning patterns, and our
behaviors. First we are exposed to new behaviors and
characters. Next, we learn or acquire these new behaviors.
The last and most crucial step is that we adopt these
behaviors as our own. One of the most critical aspects of
human development that we need to understand is the influence
of 'repeated viewing' and 'repeated verbalizing' in shaping
our future. The information goes in, 'harmlessly, almost
unnoticed,' on a daily basis, but we don't react to it until
later, when we aren't able to realize the basis for our
reactions. In other words, our value system is being formed
without any conscious awareness on our part of what is
happening!" (Seeds Of Greatness, Denis Waitley, p. 47-48)
b. "You are what you watch and think." (ibid., p. 45)
c. "If a sixty second commercial, by repeated viewing, can sell
us a product, then isn't it possible for a sixty minute soap
opera or 'smut-com', by repeated viewing, to sell us a
life-style?" (ibid., p. 47)

[If Christians are going to succeed, they must set their minds (or
meditate) on "the things of the Spirit", or on "things above, where
Christ is"! Only then can they with God's help "put off the old man"
and "put on the new man".

Finally, a few thoughts on...]

III. HOW TO MEDITATE

A. REMEMBER, YOUR MIND IS AFFECTED BY EVEN CASUAL CONTEMPLATION!
1. Cf. the Stanford studies (quoted above)
2. The first step to proper meditation is to be selective in what
you watch and read
3. Fill your mind with positive and spiritual thoughts if you
really want to:
a. "renew the mind"
b. "be transformed"
4. It doesn't have to be restricted to the Bible, as Paul said:
"Whatever things..."
a. There are novels, movies, television shows, etc., that fall
into the category of possessing "virtue" and being
"praiseworthy"
b. Seek the advice and counsel of other Christians as to what
is "of good report"
5. So first let your "casual" contemplation be discriminatory!

B. TO REACH THE HEIGHTS OF SPIRITUAL MEDITATION, HEED THE COUNSEL OF
THE PSALMS...
1. Make the Bible your primary focus for meditation - Ps 1:2
2. Read it contemplatively every day - Ps 1:2; 119:15
3. Read it with a prayer in your heart - cf. Ps 119:18
4. As you read, occasionally read it aloud to yourself
a. The Hebrew word in Ps 1:2 means "to mutter"
b. Reading slowly and audibly helps to focus one's mind on the
words
5. As you read, you might ask yourself the following questions:
a. Is there some truth I should know from this verse?
b. How does this passage affect a previously held conviction?
c. Is there something I should stop doing in light of this
verse?
d. Is there a practice I should change?
e. Is there a habit I ought to begin?
6. To put it another way: "Hold the Word of God in your heart
until it has affected every phase of your life...this is
meditation."

CONCLUSION

1. In Ps 19:14, we find David praying:

"Let the words of mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
"O Lord, my strength and my redeemer."

2. What Paul commands us to do in our text ("meditate on these things")
is the means by which we can assure that our meditations will be
acceptable in the sight of our Lord!

3. If you are not a Christian, or an erring one, then there are some
things in particular upon which you ought to meditate:
a. What is your standing in God's sight?
b. What would happen if you were to die today?
c. What do you need to do to be found in the grace of God?
d. Why delay any longer?

Christian Meditation

Christian Meditation: Is it Christian to Meditate?

Christian meditation is rooted in the Bible. In fact, the Bible commands us to meditate. In Joshua 1:8, God says to meditate on His word day and night so we will obey it. The psalmist says "his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night" (Psalm 1:2). Actually, the Bible mentions meditate or meditation 20 times.

In the Old Testament there are two primary Hebrew words for meditation: Haga, which means to utter, groan, meditate, or ponder; and Sihach, which means to muse, rehearse in one's mind, or contemplate. These words can also be translated as dwell, diligently consider, and heed.

Christian Meditation: A History
One form of Christian meditation that has been used by believers since at least the fourth century AD is the lectio divina. It has been traditionally used in monastic religious orders and is enjoying a resurgence today. Lectio divina means "sacred reading" and has four stages: lectio (reading), meditatio (discursive meditation), oratio (affective prayer), and contemplatio (contemplation). In the lectio (reading) stage, one finds a passage and reads it deliberately. The next stage, meditatio (discursive meditation), is where one ponders the text. In the oratio (effective prayer) stage, one talks to God about the reading, asking Him to reveal the truth. In the final, contemplatio (contemplation) stage, one simply rests in the Lord's presence.

Today, meditation is generally seen as a practice of the New Age movement. This comes primarily from its association with Transcendental Meditation. Transcendental Meditation (TM) was developed by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of the Hindu religion and is steeped in Hindu philosophy. The "yogi" in the TM founder's name indicates his status in Hinduism. Courts in the US have ruled that TM is not a secular discipline; it is Hindu religion (US District Court, Newark, NJ, on October 29, 1977 and the US Court of Appeals, Philadelphia, PA February 2, 1979).

Christian Meditation: What do Christian Leaders Say?
One important thing the Bible tells us to do is to think about God's Word. Our thoughts determine our behavior and so what we think about is very important. That is why God wants us to think about His Word, or meditate on it. Jim Downing in Meditation (NavPress) says God considers meditation a "vital exercise of the minds of His children."

Rick Warren, in The Purpose Driven Life (Zondervan), describes meditation this way: "Meditation is focused thinking. It takes serious effort. You select a verse and reflect on it over and over in your mind...if you know how to worry, you already know how to meditate" (190). Warren goes on to say, "No other habit can do more to transform your life and make you more like Jesus than daily reflection on Scripture…If you look up all the times God speaks about meditation in the Bible, you will amazed at the benefits He has promised to those who take the time to reflect on His Word throughout the day" (190).

In Satisfy Your Soul (NavPress), Dr. Bruce Demarest writes, "A quieted heart is our best preparation for all this work of God … Meditation refocuses us from ourselves and from the world so that we reflect on God's Word, His nature, His abilities, and His works … So we prayerfully ponder, muse, and 'chew' the words of Scripture. …The goal is simply to permit the Holy Spirit to activate the life-giving Word of God" (133).

Christian Meditation: How do we do it?
There are three times during the day we can actively turn our minds over to God's Word in Christian Meditation. Just before we fall asleep, we can have God's Word be the last thing that occupies our mind. Upon awaking, we can have God's Word be the first thing to fill our minds to start the day. Finally, we need a specific time each day to be in God's Word so it can speak to us throughout our day.

What should we focus on in Christian meditation? "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things" (Philippians 4:8, NASB).

Author of "The Master Key System"

But perception will come only in the Silence; this seems to be the condition required for all great purposes. You are a visualizing entity. Imagination is your workshop. It is here that your ideal is to be visualized.
Charles F. Haanel

Our failures are a result of the operation of exactly the same principle; the principle is unchangeable; its operation is exact, there is no deviation; if we think lack, limitation, discord, we shall find their fruits on every hand; if we think poverty, unhappiness or disease, the thought messengers will carry the summons as readily as any other kind of thought and the result will be just as certain. If we fear a coming calamity, we shall be able to say with Job, "the thing I feared has come upon me"; if we think unkindly or ignorantly we shall thus attract to ourselves the results of our ignorance. Charles F. Haanel

Every time you think you start a train of causation which will create a condition in strict accordance with the quality of the thought which originated it. Thought which is in
harmony with the Universal Mind will result in corresponding conditions. Thought which is destructive or discordant will produce corresponding results. You may use thought constructively or destructively, but the immutable law will not allow you to plant a thought of one kind and reap the fruit of another. You are free to use this marvellous creative power as you will, but you must take the consequences. Charles F. Haanel

Powerful Truth from Jiddu Krishnamurti Part 2

Powerful Truth from Jiddu Krishnamurti Part 2

Self-knowledge is the beginning of meditation - not the knowledge that you pick up from my books, from authorities, from gurus, but the knowledge that comes into being through self-inquiry, which is self-awareness. Jiddu Krishnamurti

If I don't understand the ways of my thoughts, of my feelings, if I don't understand my motives, my desires, my demands, my pursuit of patterns of action, which are ideas - if I do not know myself, there is no foundation for thinking; the thinker who merely asks, prays, or excludes, without understanding himself, must inevitably end in confusion, in illusion.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

There is only one central issue, crisis, or challenge for man, which is, that he must be completely free. As long as the mind is holding on to a structure, a method, a system, there is no freedom.
 Jiddu Krishnamurti

When the mind goes beyond the thought of “the me,” the experiencer, the observer, the thinker, then there is a possibility of a happiness that is incorruptible.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

You cannot find truth through anybody else.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Listening has importance only when one is not projecting one’s own desires through which one listens. Can one put aside all these screens through which we listen, and really listen?
Jiddu Krishnamurti

It is one of the most difficult things to listen—to listen to the communist, to the socialist, to the congressman, to the capitalist, to anybody, to your wife, to your children, to your neighbor, to the bus conductor, to the bird—just to listen. It is only when you listen without the idea, without thought, that you are directly in contact; and being in contact, you will understand whether what he is saying is true or false; you do not have to discuss.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Powerful Truth from Jiddu Krishnamurti

Powerful Truth from Jiddu Krishnamurti Part 1

We seek happiness through things, through relationship, through thoughts, ideas. So things, relationship, and ideas become all-important and not happiness. When we seek happiness through something, then the thing becomes of greater value than happiness
itself. Jiddu Krishnamurti

I must love the very thing I am studying. If you want to understand a child, you must love and not condemn him. You must play with him, watch his movements, his idiosyncrasies, his ways of behavior; but if you merely condemn, resist or blame him, there is no comprehension of the child. Similarly, to understand what is, one must observe what one thinks, feels and does from moment to moment. That is the actual. Jiddu Krishnamurti

You cannot meditate if you are ambitious—you may play with the idea of meditation. If your mind is authority-ridden, bound by tradition, accepting, following, you will never know what it is to meditate on this extraordinary beauty...
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Love is not habit, love cannot be cultivated habits can be cultivated and for most of us love is something so far away that we have never known the quality of it, we do not even know the nature of it. To come upon love there must be freedom; The mind is completely still, within its own freedom, then there is the 'impossible' which is love. Jiddu Krishnamurti

Without love we are destroying each other, we are living in fragments, one fragment in aggression with the other, one in revolt against the other. Jiddu Krishnamurti

If you loved to sing, or to paint, or to write poems—if you really loved it—you would not be concerned with whether you are famous or not. To want to be famous is tawdry, trivial, stupid, it has no meaning; but , because we don’t love what we are doing, we want to enrich ourselves with fame. Jiddu Krishnamurti

Our present education is rotten because it teaches us to love success and not what we are doing. The result has become more important than the action. Jiddu Krishnamurti

Love implies great freedom—not to do what you like. But love comes only when the mind is very quiet, disinterested, not self-centered. Jiddu Krishnamurti

Conflict is not only a waste of energy but it also makes the mind dull, heavy, stupid. Such a mind caught in habit is insensitive; from this insensitivity, from this dullness, it will not accept anything new because there is fear. Jiddu Krishnamurti

Awareness is observation without condemnation. Awareness brings understanding, because there is no condemnation or identification but silent observation. If I want to understand something, I must observe, I must not criticize, I must not condemn, I must not pursue it as pleasure or avoid it as non-pleasure. There must merely be the silent observation of a fact.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

I cannot live in the present if the present is in the shadow of the past. To understand this the mind must be capable of looking and you can only look when there is no condemnation, no identification, no judgement - as you can look at a tree, a cloud - simply look at it.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Meditation is the ending of sorrow, the ending of thought which breeds fear and sorrow the fear and sorrow in daily life. Jiddu Krishnamurti

Obstacles become Victories which become more Faith!

Every obstacle conquered, every victory gained, will give you more faith in your power, and you will have greater ability to win. Your strength is determined by your mental attitude; if this attitude is one of success, and is permanently held with an unswerving purpose, you will attract to yourself from the invisible domain the things you silently demand. Charles F. Haanel

Wealth

Wealth should then never be desired as an end, but simply as a means of accomplishing an end. Success is contingent upon a higher ideal than the mere accumulation of riches, and he who aspires to such success must formulate an ideal for which he is willing to strive.
Charles F. Haanel

Imagination

Imagination is a good servant but a poor master, and unless it is controlled it may easily lead us into all kinds of speculations and conclusions which have no basis or foundation of fact whatever. Every kind of plausible opinion is liable to be accepted without any analytical examination and the inevitable result is mental chaos. Charles F. Haanel

Enlightenment cannot be attained, nor forced. It can only happen, when given the opportunity to do so, when obstruction by concepts ceases. It can appear only when it is given a vacant space to appear in. If the “I” is already in occupation, how can enlightenment enter? How to Meditate

Meditation Instructions

Basic Meditation Practices
After reading through these instructions, close your eyes and think in terms of creating an inner and outer stillness of mind and body. Set your intentions (this may mean to also set your timer) the idea is to know exactly what you are going to be doing with the meditation time that you have set aside and to know what your meditation object is before you even start your meditation practice.
Begin and end every meditation by taking three deep breathes and silently asking, where are my thoughts at…?  how do I feel…?

1)      Posture
Sit comfortably with a straight back. (One can sit upon a cushion on the floor or in a chair with the feet flat on the floor)
With closed eyes, mentally scan your body in order to relax and consciously remove any unnecessary muscle tension. Visualize each area of the body softening and relaxing, starting from the head moving slowly downward to the feet and then back up again, spend no less than ten minutes doing this exercise. This is a ligament meditation in of its self. Notice the mental and physical feelings that occur during this practice of scanning.

2)      The meditation object
Bring your awareness to your meditation object; this is the area that you will be placing your concentration upon. We will be using the breath and an area on or within the body that you feel the breath most prominent or pleasant. (It is strongly suggested that you use the area between the tip of the nose and the upper lip). notice every detail of the breath, for example; examine the length of each breath, is it long or is it short?

3)      The wandering mind
As the mind wanders off of your meditation object, know that this naturally happens and gently bring it back. Pretend it’s a game; you get one point each time you notice that your mind has wondered off your meditation object. (If you feel overly distracted it may help to count the breaths up to eight or ten and repeat; this gives one an added element to concentrate on). As you practice meditation you will realize that in actuality what you are doing is working on your ability to concentrate on your meditation object, the breath.

4)      Single pointed concentration
In time you will notice that the job of concentrating on the meditation object (the breath) becomes easier and more enjoyable, this may not happen right away but it will happen. This controlled concentration will enable you to meditate for longer periods of time and with less discomfort. Eventually the hindrances (see below) will fall away being replaced by joy, happiness, applied and sustained thinking and controlled, single pointed concentration.

5)      Insight (wisdom)
Eventually one will wish to incorporate insight in to their meditation practice; this is the Buddhist practice of applying an investigative wisdom to the meditation object. With a daily practice in meditation the mind will become much more manageable; we soon realize that our thoughts are more direct and understandable, fewer in number and more meaningful. At times it may seem as if there are more thoughts when we meditate but this only seems so because in meditation we are able to step back and take a clear look at all of the mental activity that is going on, this allows us to manage our thoughts, this is mindfulness.
for more information on insight meditation see Matt Flickstein's article at: http://www.soulfulliving.com/insightmeditation.htm

6)      Working with Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a mental state that is free of judgment or decision. It is you, watching the process of the mind as opposed to dealing with the content or what is already in there. Mindfulness is non-conceptual; The thoughts that come up in meditation are a normal part of how we are,it is the mind being the mind and these are what we want to notice and acknowledge when we are doing mindfulness based meditations. When we allow these thoughts to take us away in the form of a story or thinking of the past or making plans for the future we are no longer meditating but are simply thinking, something that we do all day long.

7)       The five hindrances
As mentioned, when we practice meditation there are thoughts and mental actives that seem to pull us away from our object of concentration and toward areas that our minds wonder toward, these are the things that “hinder” concentration and our meditation practice. The hindrances work in two different ways, one way is as mentioned, it is a wonderful way to judge our level of concentration if they are present we are not concentrated. Also, the hindrances can be used as a tool in mindfulness types of meditation by relating each hindrance or lack of it, with the thoughts that come up during our meditation.

·         “Sensual desire” is the mind moving toward the pleasing objects that we encounter or encountered, through the senses of the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, touch and pleasurable thoughts.
·         “Aversion” can take the form of anger, despair, and undesirable sensual objects such as a barking dog; there may be times when we find the mind dwelling in negativity.
·         “Sloth and torpor” may present its self in the form of a dullness or foggy mind; it may also be due to sleepiness or boredom.
·         “Restlessness and worry” takes the form of recollecting the past and dwelling in the future and includes planning and figuring. Concerns for the future and mentally taking the responsibility for an others well being such as worrying about an others well being.
·         “Doubt” may be present if we feel that we are not progressing in our practice, if we doubt the teachings about the practice or are wondering if we are using the correct meditation method.
Every disturbance in our practice can be identified by relating it to one of the five hindrances, when these hindrances are encountered we should become as skillful as possible in recognizing and discarding them, we then bring the mind back to our object of meditation. This will help in reducing the hindrances to concentration. (Notice the moments that you have no hindrances, when is this? Why is this?)
8)      Working with the five hindrances
The best way to work with the hindrances for mindfulness practice is to first know them well and be very aware of them so that when a disturbance occurs we know without any hesitation which hindrance it is, in this way we can get back to the task of practicing concentrated meditation. The easiest way to use the hindrances in concentration practice is to simply place your attention on the breath and as soon as you realize that your mind has wondered, quickly bring your attention back to the breath and notice the dissolving of the hindrance. With practice these practices can be done at all hours of the day, this quickly increases our over all mindfulness and is a mark of an awakened being.
It takes consistent and daily practice to see results from a meditation practice; the results are a controlled and happy mind, well worth the effort.

Meditation -----> LOVE

If you meditate, sooner or later you will come upon love. If you meditate deeply, sooner or later you will start feeling a tremendous love arising in you that you have never known before.

Healing is the release from Fear

All healing is essentially the release from fear. To undertake this you cannot be fearful yourself. You do not understand healing because of your own fear.

From "A course in Miracles"

Illness comes from The Mind

In truth, all diseases or illnesses of the body come from miscreation by the mind. Level confusion, as used in the next passage, refers to mistaking the things in the body as originating in the body, rather than in their true source, the mind. The matter is dead so far as the body is concerned — physical matter is dead and cannot create something that the mind cannot control. The belief that there is something the mind cannot control is an error. In situations where this may seem otherwise, one need only wait patiently — the source of error stemming from the mind will be revealed in due time.

Taken from "A course in miracles"

Invincible Thought

The principle which gives the thought the dynamic power to correlate with its object, and therefore to master every adverse human experience, is the law of attraction, which is another name for love. This is an eternal and fundamental principle, inherent in all things, in every system of Philosophy, in every Religion and in every Science. There is no getting away from the law of love. It is feeling that imparts vitality to thought. Feeling is desire, and desire is love. Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible. Charles F. Haanel

Here's a great daily affirmation that works!

The affirmation, "I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy," will bring about harmonious conditions. The reason for this is because the affirmation is in strict accordance with the Truth, and when truth appears every form of error or discord must necessarily disappear. Charles F. Haanel

A Secret Scroll Message From Rhonda Byrne

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne
Creator of The Secret and The Power

From The Secret Daily Teachings
There is no doubt that when using the law of attraction for the good of everyone, you are connecting yourself to great power. However, the law is also available to you individually so that you may live your life to the fullest. When you live your life to the fullest you have so much more to give others.

Your pain and misery does not help the world. But your joy and your life lived fully uplifts the world.

May the joy be with you,

Powerful Quotes from "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind"

It all comes down to this: if your subconscious “financial blueprint” is not “set’ for success, nothing you learn, nothing you know, and nothing you do will make much of a difference.
~ T. Harv Eker

The first thing I did was commit to my success and playing to win. I swore I would focus and not even consider leaving this business until I was a millionaire or more. This was radically different from my previous efforts, where, because I always thought short-term, I would constantly get side-tracked by either good opportunities or when things got tough.
~ T. Harv Eker

A lack of money is never, ever, ever a problem. A lack of money is merely a symptom of what is going on underneath.
~ T. Harv Eker

Whatever results you’re getting, be they rich or poor, good or bad, positive or negative, always remember that your outer world is simply a reflection of your inner world. If things aren’t going well in your outer life, it’s because things aren’t going well in your inner life. It’s that simple.
~ T. Harv Eker

It’s simple arithmetic: “Your income can grow only to the extent you do.”
~ T. Harv Eker

For the next seven days, I challenge you not to complain at all.
~ T. Harv Eker

You can be a victim or you can be rich, but you can’t be both. Listen up! Every time, and I mean every time, you blame, justify, or complain, you are slitting your financial throat.
~ T. Harv Eker

The by-product is that they more people you help, the “richer” you become, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and definitely financially.
~ T. Harv Eker

Powerful Quotes from "A Course In Miracles"

Love will immediately enter into any mind that truly wants it
Dr. Helen Schucman

The ego seeks to divide and separate.  Spirit seeks to unify and heal.
Dr. Helen Schucman

A therapist doesn’t heal, he lets healing be.
Dr. Helen Schucman

What is healing but the removal of all that stands in the way of knowledge.
Dr. Helen Schucman

God calls and you do not hear, for you are preoccupied with your own voice.
Dr. Helen Schucman

You have so little faith in yourself because you are unwilling to accept the fact that perfect love is in you, and so you seek without for what you cannot find within.
Dr. Helen Schucman

Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world.
Dr. Helen Schucman

Let forgiveness be the substitute for fear. This is the only rule for happy dreams.
Dr. Helen Schucman

Let every voice but God’s be still in me. Today we let no ego thoughts direct our words or actions. When such thoughts occur, we quietly step back and look at them, and then we let them go. Dr. Helen Schucman

Remove All Interference

There are three things that can block the mind from doing it's job: Physical interference, Emotional interference, and Chemical interference. All interference must be removed for the Mind to reach it's maximum potential. However, the Mind can remove all interference on it's own through No-Mind meditation. This is done by cleaning out all the mental clutter and totally relaxing. Through silence the Mind can bypass all interference and speak directly to the body. Just as the Mind can speak to your body, it can also speak to the infinite Universe attracting into your life all the things you most desire.

I Must Not Fear!

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

The Stainless Shrine

“Withdraw into yourself and look. And if you do not fine yourself beautiful yet, act as does the creator of a statue that is to be made beautiful: he cuts away here, he smoothes there, he makes this line lighter, this other purer, until a lovely face has grown his work. So do you also: cut away all that is excessive, straighten all that is crooked, bring light to all that is overcast, labor to make all one glow or beauty and never cease chiseling your statue, until there shall shine out on you from it the godlike splendor of virtue, until you see the perfect goodness surely established in the stainless shrine”

Visualization to Materialization

When undertaking the process of visualization. You must see the picture more and more complete, see the detail, and, as the details begin to unfold, the ways and means for bringing it into manifestation will develop. One thing will lead to another. Thought will lead to action, action will develop methods, methods will develop friends, and friends will bring about circumstances, and, finally, the third step, or Materialization, will have been accomplished.
Charles F. Haanel

Bypassing the Conscious Mind

The Law Attraction requires bypassing the conscious mind and reprogramming the subconscious mind. To attract the things you want in life you must recondition the subconscious mind to be able to receive the desired result. Your subconscious mind will send out the vibrations to set in motion the attainment of the things you desire. There are many ways to reprogram the subconscious mind such as positive visualization, self affirmations, and binuaral beats with focused meditation. You must convince the subconscious mind that you have and deserve the things you desire first before they will manifest into physical reality.

Discipline Your Mind

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him. Buddha

Your words are powerful, never forget this. If you are wanting to change your life and aren't sure where to begin, start with your words. Speak what you want into existence, speak with confidence, speak with love. Words are seeds, make sure you give them time to grow.

No Failure!

You may have failed in the past, but this time you must, you will, and you shall overcome every difficulty and weakness, and achieve dominion over yourself, victory over your circumstances and complete control over your life. THERE MUST AND SHALL BE NO FAILURE THIS TIME. THIS TIME YOU ARE GOING TO SUCCEED THROUGH THE POWER THAT IS WITHIN YOU.
Henry Thomas Hamblin

You Old Life Is Dead

I want you to make what is known as an "affirmation," I want you to affirm the following: "THE OLD LIFE IS DEAD AND BURIED. I HAVE SEVERED MYSELF FROM IT ONCE AND FOR ALL. HENCEFORTH I LIVE THE NEW LIFE OF SUCCESS AND POWER, OF SELF-MASTERY AND ALL ACCOMPLISHMENT."

Guard Your Mind
By: Mind Power 365

Guard your mind like a small child. Be very careful of what you put in it, who you let near it, and what you focus on. Your mind is your most valuable asset. When i say avoid negative people, I dont mean people in crisis or people who need guidance, I mean people that are draining your positive energy and actions. The most dangerous person in your life is the one who creates doubt. Love All, Help All, and Peace to All
just becareful of who you let in your inner circle.
